So here they are...words that have never been published...for a damn good reason..they are terrible! Enloy...and tell no one!
This was the day
it was all going to happen. Blackwater was not leaving this place until Richard was dead. Blackwater stood staring at the house, swinging the bat, when he was punched in the back of his head.
Blackwater
turned swinging the bat in a sideways swing, a fatal swing, but he only connected with air. Roger
was behind him, fists up, dancing like thought that this was going to
go down fist-to-fist. If Blackwater had taught his protegee anything it was
that you never fought anyone clean. There was no such thing. He had taught Richard that if you could gain any
advantage, it should be seized.
Now I'm gonna tag some folks! This is kinda fun! Now I got to go let 'em know! :)
"If Blackwater had taught his protegee anything it was that you never fought anyone clean."
ReplyDeleteI love this line! Very punchy. Reminds me of someone literary but I can't remember who. I'll get back to you on that. Anyhoo, great excerpt!
Thanks CJ! that gives me a little bit of confidence in it! Thanks again!
DeleteI appreciate you passing this on to me, even though I missed it somehow - you can't even imagine how scatter-brained I am sometimes :) And hey, I liked your excerpt!
